The Provenance of our products


All our beef is sourced locally from farms in the Borders.  Louise Forsyth selects and buys the best prime fatstock cattle on a weekly basis from St Boswells Auction Market. This means that we can vouch for the quality and high animal welfare that our customers  expect.


Our lamb comes from the Manor Valley and other Scottish Border Farms


The supplied pigs are from Hawick and other Scottish Farms


Game is locally supplied, e.g. venison and pheasant.


Our bakery supplies bread, cakes and biscuits based on traditional methods of baking. Our recipes have been handed down through the generations of bakers resident in our shop.
